It wasn’t exactly warm but the sun was out so I gave the Bimmer a hot bath, then some wax. Afterward I switched out the 2002 badge for the 1502 badge that I bought and snapped some potato pics. Unfortunately my application for a US tag and title was rejected and has to be resubmitted. The reason was “the t itle needs to be translated” If you’ve been following the saga, you know that I translated the title and included it with my application ... Luckily so did the guy at the tag place and resubmitted it for me. However they won’t even receive the resubmitted application until Monday, so I can count on at least another two weeks before I can drive it!

Anyway, here are the pics. I hope everyone had a nice weekend!

Seriously! The guy at the tag place said I did too nice of a job with the translation, he said they didnt look hard enough and probably just figured it was a photocopy of the dutch title

True story, or so I was told.

Car was being imported from Canada with an Ontario title. Title transfer was rejected by DMV.

“ This isn’t acceptable. It’s not translated. ”

It’s in dutch, I believe it’s the name  of the shop that did the paint and body work.

ah okay, I figured it was something like that.

I hate it when dealerships do that when you buy a new car, but when it’s on an imported car, that’s not new, it’s kinda neat and interesting !

Happy it all worked out, I speak a dialect of dutch if you’re really curious about what the back of the car says. Also I edited my response to your other post about my buddy who works with a BMW tech (if you’re looking) .
